FIVE BOOKS I HAVE READ

 

To begin, I must discuss one of my favorite all time books, and by far my favorite childhood books. This book discusses the warning given from a small man, known as the Lorax who tells about the importance of the truffula trees. As the trees are cut down, one can see the progression as the environment is destroyed.

 

Next, I shall discuss my favorite all time book. Guy Montag, a firefighter living in a dystopian society, where books are completely banned and one can see the negative effects throughout. As a firefighter in this dystopia, Montag must burn all books, and after burning a woman alive, he begins to question what people are willing to die for. Soon after, he begins to read and a new world opens up.

 

Next, is Killing Lincoln because it is about one of my favorite presidents of all time. The conspiracy discussed around Lincoln's death intrigued me, and this lead my interest into further interest in government conspiracies. I also picked up even more of a distrust to the US Government and became more aware of the lies that can be told by it.

 

One of the most famous historical memoirs in Commentarii de Bello Gallico by Julius Caesar, one of the finest leaders to have ever graved this world with his presence. Having translated this from the original Latin, Caesar recounts his battles in the Gallic Wars in an unmatched style. This style is as a 3rd person account from his own point of view, and one is really able to envision Caesars centuries old battle experiences.

  

Lastly, this is a novel I would recommend to anyone looking for a thrilling story of social class, and some love. Though, unlike the film adaptation, the novel focuses upon the classes of people, such as the New Rich, Old Rich and the poor, the love story between Gatsby and Daisy is unforgettable. This novel is one the undoubtedly should be read by anyone.
